Madison Zehmer
from ANC063: whisper back to earth

genesis

I took a bite of the sun once / let it collapse inside /
     a celestial unbecoming:
           protostar into bloodmarrow /
                     gamma-ray ichor into nerves /
           supernova into acidbones /
and God said let there be light, and there was light.
the photosphere calling skinghosts home / and the core
propelling glare into matter / waking sungiants from rest
stirring fractals of star in varicose veins / tumbling lights
                     rising from astral graves /
cradling hands / molting into radiance
molting into song
